Application for a Whistler Ride-Share Parking Permit
for Whistler Day Lots 3, 4 and 5
User Pay Parking is in effect in all the day lots on Blackcomb Way. Premium parking spots are available to groups of 3 or more commuters (at least 18 years of age) who ride-share a minimum of 4 days per week and who purchase a 3 or 6 month Whistler Ride-Share Parking Permit.
To receive one of these premium spots:
- To be eligible, all members of the Ride-Share Parking Group must:
- be at least 18 years of age
- be employees of a business licensed to operate in Whistler, and
- have no outstanding parking tickets.
- Complete this application and wait up to 5 business days while your information is verified.
- After successful verification, you will receive an email with further instructions.
- Every Sunday, each ride-share member will receive an email link to an online survey to indicate on what days they participated in the ride-share. The survey is open until 11:59PM Thursday. Three or more members must have participated a minimum of 4 out of 7 days (M-Su) in order to maintain your premium parking spot.
General Rules and Regulations:
- You will receive a single parking tag to be shared among the vehicles in your group. Only one vehicle per ride-share group can use a ride-share parking spot at any one time. Parking tag must be displayed with your ride-share identification number that is linked to your registered vehicle license plate number(s).
- If fewer than 3 members and/or 4 days of ridesharing are reported in any 1 week, you will receive a notice that your premium parking is cancelled and you may be ticketed and/or towed. However, exceptions may be made in the case of vacations and sick days.
- Ride-Share premium parking is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
- If the membership of your ride-share group changes – you are required to update your application/agreement for a fee of $10. First, you must email rideshare@whistler.ca with the changes. An administrator will send you an amended application/agreement that you must then sign and deliver to Finance with your $10 payment. Notice must be given to the Whistler Village Employee Ride-Share Program within seven days after a participant leaves a Ride-Share. The Ride-Share group shall be given an additional 14 days to recruit additional members as necessary in order to maintain vehicle occupancy of at least three, or their Ride-Share Parking Permit will be revoked. New members are subject to the same eligibility requirements in order for a group to maintain their Active status.
- It is your responsibility to be familiar with all rules and regulations pertaining to the Whistler Ride-Share Parking Program.
